Some memories and travel inspiration from Iceland.
Still not able to travel, I am still dreaming of places I've visited and planning to visit. Some years ago I was in Iceland, which had been on my list of dream destinations for many years. Here are some images and tips related to this magical place.

Waterfalls.
Waterfalls are always a beautiful and often majestic sights, but in Iceland they're on a different level. From huge waterfalls with masses of water to large numbers of smaller waterfalls in mesmerising landscapes, there are wonderful spots to be found all over the country.
Ice.
There is plenty of ice in Iceland, which of course is not surprising. There are glaciers and glacier lagoons which are magnificent. In the vicinity of glaciers, you can find all kinds of amazing shapes of ice, for example on Diamond Beach. The magical landscapes created by ice are part of the unreal beauty of this island, and have been featured in many films and series.
Magic.
Besides the ice and waterfalls, there are also many other magical places. For example beaches with black sand, geysers and of course the famous blue lagoon. If you love nature, you can find countless places that are beautiful - sometimes with similarities to other islands in terms of cliffs, beaches and raw landscapes, but sometimes also like nowhere else. The capital Reykjavik also has some pretty places worth seeing, such as the modern Hallgrims church and the view from its top, as well as other areas of town. The villages and towns in the rest of the country are picturesque and feature many cosy spots.
Overall, Iceland is a dream destination for nature lovers. Having been there only once, I still have many places in mind that I would like to go to on this island, and revisit some of my favourite sports from this trip. It's a great country for tourism, which is very safe and friendly, and the people we met were all welcoming and charming. An additional perk is that people in Iceland love reading, so there are numerous wonderful bookshops all over the country, often combined with cafés. Pretty much paradise, if you ask me.....
