James Stewart

A legendary American actor (1908-1997).

One of the greatest actors in film history was born today in 1908. It has been decades since he passed away, but his films have endured and are still wonderful to watch. The humour and moral value of some of his films is still valid today.

My personal favorites are these four films:

Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939)

The Philadelphia Story (1940)

It‘s a Wonderful Life (1945)

Vertigo (1958)

Stewart worked with Frank Capra, Alfred Hitchcock and George Cukor in these for films, showing how successful he was. His female co-stars include Kim Novak, Jean Arthur and Katharine Hepburn and Donna Reed.
