Ennio Morricone

A legendary Italian film music composer.

Arguably one of the greatest film music composers of all time. I often listen to film music anyway, but especially in times of working from home it's a great background music, full of emotion but peacefully instrumental.

Here are some of my favourite scores & pieces by Ennio Morricone:

Once upon a Time in the West (1968), especially "Jill's Theme", "The Man with the Harmonica", "Final"

The Mission (1986), especially "Gabriel's Oboe", "On Earth as It Is in Heaven"

The Hateful Eight (2015), especially "L'Ultima Diligenza di Red Rock"

Once upon a Time in America (1984), especially "Deborah's Theme)

A Fistful of Dollars (1964), especially "Main Theme"

All great films to watch & rewatch as well, of course! And if you can manage to see a concert of Morricone as long as he's conducting - it's worth it...
